I am actually running an Asterisk test server right now. I have a demo for a business that I mentioned to a few people that is to be based on some version of this technology. Asterisk is certainly powerful ... but the "language" that is used to configure dialplans seems to have take all of the worst features I have ever seen anywhere and rolled them into one. One approach that gets around this is just to use their AGI (Asterisk Gateway Interface, think like CGI for Asterisk) and then write as much as possible of the app in Python. I suspect that once I have built up some decent libs this will not be a bad way to go. BobLQ -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
