After I'm logged in, everything is fine. This machine is on a different
subnet than the AD server and the NIS server. There are other servers
on the same subnet that are able to authenticate to the LDAP server OK,
so I'm doubting it's a network issue. There are other Red Hat 7.3
machines that are OK, so I doubt it's an issue with a specific
RPM-installed file, although this or the other machine smight have
received/not received a particular update.
Any suggestions?
Make sure the Active Directory's Reverse and Forward DNS Zones are
configured correctly. I had an issue like this and sorting out DNS
solved the problem. The solution was mentioned here:
