about 3 times longer.
I have seen at least one reviewer that says LCDs are well known for
having a longer lifetime than CRTs, but you may be right .. I can't say
from experience.

I have seen an unusual number of LCD monitors crap out due to what
appear to be power supply problems. These were probably low-end ones. YMMV.
