Do I have any other options?

I assume you've tried the antenna from outside the metal skin of an RV. Most external antennas are directional, so aim it different ways while trying to connect. If you have a laptop with the wireless, take it outside and walk around with it. The whole idea here is to move things around to see if you can improve the signal. Anything metal can/will affect the signal.

Some wireless boards are much better than others at picking up weak signals. If one doesn't work see if you can borrow another to see if that helps. You might be able to boost the power of your wireless card (and potentially blow it up) with iwconfig. I've not done this stuff in quite a while. google for more answers.
