Ever since C# came out, I've had this hunch that "cee-sharp" was a mispronunciation. As it turns out, we should've been calling it "cee-POUND". MS seemed like they developed .NET out of sheer grumpiness at not being able to play as loosely with Sun's licensing as they'd become accustomed. So, now all they've gained is a tool they can hammer people with in court. Of course, none of us are surprised, but Novell apparently will be... when they wake up. I rather thought they'd have seen it before anyone else. For the benefit of any stray rocks-sucks-O-meters that /might/ hit the mailing list archives... Novell sucks my dirty socks.
