Subject: Update (Re: Tips on battery life, reviving the dead )

Here is some more info that I recently ran across

(http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=ibm&lndocid=PFAN-3QNQJN&velxr-layout=print
 )

Heat appears to be the main culprit in short batter life. IBM recommends that a
new battrery should be fully charged before using it. A Ni-mh battery should be
deep cycled three times before using it. On the other hand deep cycling and or
full discharge is not recommended for lithium ion batteries.

Tips on battery life, reviving the dead

This is a interesting article on extending laptop
batter life. This useful, because I don't believe much
has been said about the subject till.
