If I'm not mistaken, Linus abolished the alternating stable/unstable kernel
version numbering system and plans to keep things at 2.6.x for indefinite
future.  Is this right?   I think he believes they can just manage all
development on same tree?

Also, I remember reading an interview with Linus where it seemed he doesn't do
much coding now but rather just makes sure everyone plays well and settles
disputes.

Does this mean the Linux kernel is pretty much 'done'?  So there is no more
radical reorgs or work needed to be done?
