You're actually *using* Vista? You poor, tortured soul. The more people who use Vista, the harder it becomes for us who refuse to -- the DRM and other such signing requirements and trusted computing platform nonsense that's emerging in hardware is going to make it a *lot* harder for us open-source folks to compete. If we can't get the specs for the hardware (if the specs for the hardware are out, then the "trusted" bit is gone) then we can't write drivers for it because if we reverse-engineer the encryption, then we're in violation of the DMCA. Funny how that works, eh?

Microsoft has got us by the balls. I urge everyone not to use vista, ever. It's bad for everyone. Really.
