Using "Motion" <http://www.lavrsen.dk/twiki/bin/view/Motion/WebHome>
I'm spying on the cats while I'm on vacation.
It has motion detection, which doesn't work very well (though I think
that's more because of the old laptop it's running on than the software)
and timelapse photography which works very well.
The timelapse is essentially a jpeg every few seconds combined into one
large "day view" mpeg.
