Hi All,

I know pressing the scroll lock key stops the console screen from scrolling. That's fine but the Belkin KVM switch doesn't always intercept the first of two scroll-lock keystrokes (used to switch the KVM to another channel) and passes one to the console right before it actually switches to another machine. Unbeknownst to me it locks the process running on the machine I just switched from.

First pass says the KVM switch is broken but we have two and they both do it. And I see references to this on the Internet. So I guess Belkin ones are broken (surprise, surprise).

Using a different KVM switch is not an option right now, so I'd like to disable the scroll-lock feature in the console. Looks like man keymaps tells how to do this. Would this be the preferred way?

Thanks.

Karl Cunningham
