Because the people factor is pretty frickin' huge since these machines
exist to serve people? I don't want the time on all of my LTSP desktops
to be in GMT. I don't want myself or developers to have to remember to
convert local times into UTC when we want a cron job to go off at 2am
local time. There are lots of reasons why it is nice to have your Linux
box use the local time.
