I set the clock in my car, and my nightstand alarm clock, a few minutes
fast :-)

Same thing happens at the other end... I think it's ridiculous that the
sun should go down at 4:30 in the afternoon.

If we were going to stop changing the time, then I say stop doing so in
the DST position.  I don't mind getting up before the sun, but I hate
driving home in the dark.
