Just a wild thought, but the FSF encourages people who GPL to register
copyright ownership with them because they have the cash to pursue any
violations. You might drop them a line with your idea to ask if they have
any mecahnism for registering BINFP ("Bin-fup" -- Bright Ideas Not For
Profit) like yours.

If they don't, they should. It certainly could be used to undermine claims
that a patent isn't "immediately obvious."
