A lot of credit repair firms will tell they can remove things from your record
when they really cannot. A good resource is the Identity theft resource center
(http://www.idtheft.org ). They are free and help you to remove invalid things
from your report. I went through a id theft and it's a big hassle. It's
basically a matter of gathering evidence sending off fraud avadavits to your
creditors.
