Somewhere, there's an option to have the focus in whatever window

K -> System Settings -> Window Behavior -> Focus -> Focus Follows Mouse
I use gnome, but you put me in the right area. I finally found it in:
Desktop -> Preferences -> Windows -> Window Selection -> Select windows
when the mouse moves over them.
Thanks.
But the danger there is if the pop-up pops up under the mouse.)
Pop-ups sometimes take the focus anyway, even if they're not under the
mouse. You have to whack the mouse to get focus back under it.
Normally, I wouldn't mind that so much except that if I happen to be
typing and my typing is ripped & shoved to some popup, one of the
keystrokes that occur before I realize this may end up doing something
that I do *not* want, and the worst part is that this keystroke probably
satisfies the popup such that the popup disappears, *before* I can find
out what just happened! Once it's gone, how does one find out what it was?
