By this time Josh has probably passed his 20 G donor drive to Carl. Carl will bring that and perhaps his exterior drive case to the IF.
I'll show up as close to 10 AM as I can. With the wounded laptop, of course. Then whoever wants can run tests on the laptop. After that, I need help planning details. I think the goal is to replace the 40 G drive with the 20 G drive and then transfer the image (should just be room). Then we can run tests on that and see if we improved anything. If yes, I take it home and spend the week developing my Kplug presentation. There won't be much room, but I don't need much. A week's work should be as good a shakedown as I can give it. If I get through the week with no HW problems, I can give the presentation and then shop (ebay?) for a replacement drive of 40 G or more. I offer this for such feedback as "but Josh didn't give me the drive" and "that's stupid, you need to do XYZ."
