That statement is selectively subjective. Of course "We (M$) live in a world where we (M$) honor, and support the honoring of, [our] intellectual property[, but not the property of SpinRite, etc., etc.]." I doubt that they have any reservations about /borrowing/ code from open source whenever it suits them. Who would know?
