Probably the GPLv3 forced the issue.  If Microsoft doesn't act before
that gets entrenched, their shakedowns won't work.

I hope everyone out there understands now the importance of GPLv3.
Read the article and you'll see that even Microsoft acknowledges that
it can't use the Novell deal as a template, as it wished, for other
