One thing I've wondered about... is it possible to do a "reverse" split?
Take power from two sources and feed it into a single device?  I can
easily see that that could be very problematic, but what do I know...
maybe it can work.  We have two redundant circuits fed from different
PDUs, but that doesn't do us any good when a given device has a single
power supply...
