I think I got where we differ: this board has: 2 parallel ATA ports 2 sATA ports provided by the nForce3 chipset 4 sATA ports provided by an onboard controller What the BIOS is about as shown in 4-21 is about the two nF3 chipset sATA ports, not the IDE ports.
