what, no evince?

Don't know where evince comes from, but it doesn't seem to be
available in any repository for FC3. I _must_ upgrade the OS on this
box.

Looking at some other computers I have around here, either real or
emulated, I find that Debian 4.0 (Etch) and openSUSE10.2 both have
evince. And CUPS.

However the situation is not straightforward.
Debian 4.0 offers the option "print to PDF" and going through the
motions Print -> Paper -> Layout offers 4-up but eventually you get
the error message "Generating PDF is not supported".

openSUSE10.2 evince Print -> Page Setup does not offer other than 1
page per sheet.
openSUSE10.2 KPDF and KGhostview both go through the same printer
panel, different from evince, which does not have any place to choose
page layout.

I have not tried the computer with Fedora Core 6. Too many variables.
And I am trying to make an organized presentation out of some of this
stuff. :-(

I give up for the moment.
