Sounds like typical consumer gear.
A reboot of the AP fixes all and makes the lights not blink like crazy
anymore. Must I keep rebooting every couple of days? Is this normal?
Makes me think Windows is running on that thing. I'm amazed anyone
tolerates crashing.
Check linksys' site for a firmware udpdate. You could have lame firmware
on that thing.
Alternatively, check into getting an access point that is a little
higher up on the food chain.
From my AIR-AP1232AG access point ($99+shipping on ebay):
burrito#sh ver | inc uptime
burrito uptime is 38 weeks, 3 days, 22 hours, 25 minutes
Never had a problem with it. Of course, it's not a nat box and only does
access point/workgroup bridge functions, so you'll need something else
to do all that. But, I'm very happy with it.
