I would enjoy hearing from them. Especially as they aren't pushing
proprietary software so much as they are pushing a service and
infrastructure which they have built using free software. And if we promise
to publicize it well I bet we could get their attention if they don't
already have a stop in San Diego.
These days, I actually work for Amazon as a developer. And while I don't
work with the evangelists (although I do write an internal web service,
which within a year will become external facing), if there's true interest I
can see if I can give a push from the inside.
