Not so sure about that.

The effects of reporting a trillion dollar loss would be significant.
Hell, even a billion-dollar loss would probably be significant enough
to keep quiet about.

Given from what I've heard about banks, they're less secure than they
seem.  The world of Finance is ... odd.
