I had intended to forward the email.

I guess that the basic forwarding operation always (at least from
t'bird) results in an attachment .. or did I just do something to
sabotage the operation (like changing the subject)?

I suppose the lesson is: use cut-n-paste.
T'bird does have a nice paste-as-quotation option.


If so, its a tbird quirk- I've never had a mail client use an attachment as default for forwarding.
