Since I like to play a game occasionally I have a big fat video card. Unfortunately a Radeon, when I bought it I still fell for Terry Makedon's PR chatter. Well. Otherwise I like Radeons for windows gaming better than NV, couple of reasons, would go way too far here.
Now since I'm planning to upgrade, I had this idea in my mind: Get a mobo with g965 onboard video, said to work very well and supported by intel *and* a Radeon whatnot, hook up both to my CRT (which has 2 inputs) and let Linux use gma and win the 3d air heater. Now someone pointed out that those boards might disable onboard video as soon an a card is plugged in. Anyone tried this stunt? Suggestions?
