Every time I run yum, it has this error. What's up with this? It dies
in exactly the same spot every time.
I finally got it going by adding the switch "--disablerepo=rpmforge"
with every yum command. But why is rmpforge repository choking?
In my experience, it's not an unusual problem. I get those errors on one
or more repositories quite frequently. If I just wait (a few minutes to
a few hours) the problem resolves itself.
The bigger pain is that if one file can't be updated for any reason, Yum
barfs up the whole meal. In that case I switch to Yumex so I can tell
Yum not to grab the offending file(s), or I can temporarily switch off a
problem repository.
