Compare a kernel from kernel.org to one you get from debian.org. The one
from Debian has had most if not all (we are working on getting them
all!) of the non-free binary blob driver bits removed.

Linus is far to pragmatic to remove them. The good folk at Debian are
far more idealistic. Linus figures: if he has permission to redistribute
the binary blob, that is good enough. That permission is not anywhere
near the GNU GPL.
