You might get better response if you give more context.

Did you install a later (7.04?) Ubuntu in place of an earlier one?
Did you do a "dist-upgrade"?
Did you do any re-configuring?

What was the first thing that was noticed as not working?
What did you try since then, and were there any "interesting" clues?

What does lspci show (if applicable)
What does dmesg show?

What kernel module is supposed to be used .. orinoco, orinoco_pci, .. ?
==> maybe somebody else can help with this Q.

Does this module show up in lsmod?
If you unload and reload the module, does anything show in dmesg?
