I'm currently looking for am inkjet scanner/printer combo device well
supported in Linux but can't really find something to match my criteria:
-good graphics/line art
-large ink tanks with cheap refill
-overall print
Speed is not really much of a matter.
If all else fails, a standalone inkjet will do fine as well.
I had a look at the HP F370 which is well supported but only has 5ml tanks
hence will run dry after 10 prints or so which is ridiculous.
If anyone can recommend something, let me know.

I have the HP OfficeJet 5610 all-in-one, but this includes faxing
capabilities. Anyway, I just saw this model available at Circuit City
for about $100. I got mine directly from HP online. They gave me a
deal I could not beat elsewhere for the same model.
I don't know the size of the ink tanks. It has one black and one
color. The black is replaceable by another color if I want to do foto
quality (with foto paper). The cartridges I currently have in there are
22 and 27. The 27 is replaceable by 56 or 58. (These are all HP
numbers.) (I'm sure you can find out the size of the ink tanks with
this info.)
The scanner is a flatbed, but also has a document feeder for a stack of
single pages.
The connection to the computer is USB.
The 2 CDs that come with it are for Windows and Mac. I don't remember
if I had to do much to get it to work in Linux. I started using it with
FC4. I don't remember if I tried using the driver from the Mac CD or if
I downloaded it from HP. But I seem to recall that HP has all the
drivers available for Linux. I seem to recall having to go thru a few
steps more than the directions with the printer, but it was nearly
painless for me. The driver installation added an icon under
Applications ==> Accessories ==> HP-SomethingOrAnother on FC4. Now I'm
on FC7 and I don't think I had to load a driver at all here. I think
FC7 just found it. On FC7, I can use the scanner by going Applications
==> Graphics ==> Scanner Tool. I may consider downloading and
installing the driver from HP anyway because with that
HP-SomethingOrAnother icon, one of the things it did was to show ink
levels (but probably just its best guess). I'm probably going to *need*
that program when I actually run out of ink. I don't use it often since
I have a LaserJet. I only use the InkJet when I need color prints.
