Nobody cares about interoperable systems.  They care about computers
that do what they want.

Actually, nobody cares about computers that do what they want.  They
care about getting something done.

But... come to think of it, nobody cares about getting something done.
 They really care about being happy.

Yeah, that's it.  Nobody really cares about anything.  Just being
happy.  Or perhaps the chemical ebb and flow that happiness generates.
