Floppy disk -- how quaint. Nowadays computers don't have floppy
drives. I just went through a BIOS update on my new HP/Compaq laptop
that has no floppy drive. I downloaded a windows program from the HP
web site, sneaker-netted it to the laptop on a USB memory stick, and
ran it.

After some fumbling around to learn about logging in to Windows XP Pro
as Administrator, it worked. The program unpacked itself into a bunch
of data files and an executable, and then ran the executable.
