yea well aint that special and its getting to be normal

However, I can't get to an external IMAP server (which, sadly, I do not control or I'd just move it to port 80) to pick up email that I need.
Well what will work just depends on the setup you have but one way is if the IMAP server doesnt do any open proxy checks there are several open and even private proxy's that are able to do this, generally you "setup" the connection thru a webpage, then connect from that computer at the port you setup. usually they provide the connecting IP and port and allow you to supply a proxy to IP and port then your given so many minutes to establish the connection and so many minutes after the connection drops before the proxy is cleaned.

search your fav web search engine for open proxy and you will get a few hits free and paid the paid usually last longer and require less repeat setup work by saving your ID and such.
