Having heard ti was a breeze, I did the upgrade to Gutsy (7.10) from
Feisty (7.04) and I lost my task bar in the default Window manager (the
one I use). When I try to start it manually with a "gnome-panel" from a
command line, it blinks several times then remains gone, and I get
errors in my terminal window:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gnome-panel

(gnome-panel:6073): Gtk-WARNING **: GModule
(/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/libubuntulooks.so) initialization check
failed: Gtk+ version too old (micro mismatch)

(gnome-panel:6073): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: IA__g_object_set_valist:
object class `ButtonWidget' has no property named `has-tooltip'

(gnome-panel:6073): GLib-GObject-WARNING
**: /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.14.1/gobject/gsignal.c:1669: signal

gnome-panel: symbol lookup
error: /usr/lib/gnome-panel/libwnck-applet.so: undefined symbol:
gtk_widget_set_tooltip_text
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$

Arrrrgh ! What can I do to get this fixed ? Help !

Any other Gnome apps that I try to start give similar errors, most will
run with the errors, but the gnome-panel will not.. and I think this is
an important one. :o)

Thanks !
Mike
