There is a MS employee on the list, but he takes a passive role and helps us 
get resources when needed. The problem however is that the group is primarily 
MS focused so there is bias towards Microsoft software. Years ago the group was 
more about software and technologies that ran on Windows. There is a few 
members who use Linux however.

Nope. That list is totally different from KPLUG and monitored by MS
employees. They hold their "club" meetings at a Microsoft office here
 in
SD. They seem completely uninspired and not interested in anything but
solving their immediate problem and getting that paycheck.
