That's not even close to a really stupid question. For examples of REALLY stupid questions, subscribe to the mythtv-users list. Theoretically there comes a point where splitting degrades signal, but like Greg, I'm at 4 with o ill effects. Two hints: - make sure each cable end is well seated. Lose ones cause noise - if you have any noise, consider running a daisy-chain ground wire from your computer case to the ground screw on each splitter and (it it has one) the ground on the TV.
