I'm trying to install APCs PowerChute on some Linux servers. They require you to use X :-/ But when I launch their wizard with the display exported to my Win XP system running Cygwin, the window that opens is mostly off the upper-left-hand corner. I can't grab it to drag it, because the entire title bar is hidden. Any ideas on how I can force the window to be somewhere usable? The APC software is a binary, so I can't do anything tricky with it. It uses Java.
Normally your window manager has some way of grabbing windows without hitting the titlebar.
<control>-<some mouse button> or <shift+control>-<some mouse button> often does it. Also, if you have an F<digit> hotkey for Maximize, that also sometimes works (in this instance it should shrink the window to the screen size).
