cpan will resolve dependencies, sometimes a lot of them it seems, and
works quite well most of the time. If there are problems, you

A much better solution, if you want to stick to RPMs, is to use
cpan2rpm:
http://perl.arix.com/cpan2rpm/ (first hit on google)
It's a nice wrapper for CPAN that builds the modules as RPMs on your
system.
