My tools come from djbdns, and I find them a lot more sane than the ones
from BIND.

dnsip does an DNS query for an IP address. dnsqr does a DNS Query of the
Root server, with a specified request.  dnsq does a DNS Query from a
specified server with a specified request.

I did run multiple queries, and each came back the same. Are you seeing
caching issues?
