This is the easiest, and best solution if they are only blocking
ports.  You should try it before anything else.  If it doesn't
work, then you'll need to use a more elaborate method.

If you can use a web browser to connect to various ssl encrypted
sites, but you're still unable to use port 443 to connect to your
sshd, this indicates that they are running a transparent proxy.
The proxy can allow only https to go through that port.  This is
one reason that setting up a shell or vnc over https often works
where other methods don't.
