Quoting Tyrion <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Also, if anyone has digital phone and a Tivo, I'd be interested to know
if you have any problems with the Tivo getting updates. They tell us
that Tivo will not work with digital phone, but I can't for the life of
me figure out why that would be.
Not really caught completely up on the thread, but all but Series 1
(and even those if you buy the card and install it) can use network
connections anyway.
Slight side-track on thread, but fits...
I got a letter from TWC the other day (should scan it in, not at home
though) that basically says the modem I have isn't capable of fully
taking advantage of the "turbo" option I signed up for a couple months
ago. Surprisingly it said I'm being credited for the price difference
(a Whopping $5/month IIRC) for the last few months, but should receive
a new modem with easy install instructions shortly that will work
right with Turbo.
Oddly.. when the kicked in the Turbo option (I signed up online via a
form, never talked to anyone) I saw a marked increase in speed (from
about 3Mb/48K to about 9-10Mb/900K-1.2Mb).. so here's hoping the new
modem will give me even more. I'm betting though that their records
are just wrong and the modem that'll show up will likely be almost
identical to the one I have.
