It's not like your questions have to be asked here _before_ you ask Google. ;-) Try a google search on unix man pages Then if you don't find anything promising, come back and ask for suggestions above/beyond what you found on your own. I don't mean to chastise you (any more than myself, that is) because I know it sometimes seems that the best answer is right here at my (virtual) [kplug-] elbow, and I myself forget to look at that wonderful reference (the internet) via that wonderful index (google/any search engine).
