I'd justify it to myself that I was rescuing this priceless piece of
art from the clutches of an unthinking buffoon who could have done
something bad to it like lean it against a microwave in the dirt in
his front yard and besides how do I really know it's Rembrandt maybe
it's not and it really is worth only $5 and honey would you go get my
wallet from the car while I clutch tightly to this schlock and also
please start the car when you're there I want to leave quickly after
making my purchase.

And then when I struck it rich I'd give part of the money to the
seller if he/she wanted it.  Maybe a 1/3rd.
