Most calendaring software provides this functionality. You can either create the lab resources as conference rooms or conference room accessories, like projectors or whatever. M$ exchange can do it, at the very least. you can set these resources up to be, well, resources that can be used during a "meeting" -- basically, use the calendaring software to schedule a meeting between yourself and the device, and whatever happens between closed doors is your business! :)
