"Use My Default Colors", perhaps?
Or some sort of user.css black magic.
Opera has a nice "Ignore the css file, and use the default one" key, which
tends to get rid of backgrounds. It makes the unfortunate times I've had
to look at a myspace page slightly more bearable.
How many (usable, not uber-tiny-fonts) xterms can you tile on to that
screen?
My problem is that as I get older, I seem to be wanting bigger and bigger
text. It's not blurry, I just don't find it comfortable reading the really
small text anymore.
Nonetheless, with the default 6x13 xterm and 80x24, I can tile 20 of them
on the screen, with some space left over.
I tend to work with two tabbed 115x60 terminal windows kind of centered and
a bit low and use the borders for other stuff. I find that the edges of
the 30" are just a bit too far away for focused work, but it is sure handy
to be able to put stuff there.
Wonder what I have that could drive 2560x1600 at more than 2 bits depth?
I doubt that anything would drive it at even 2 bits :-) The 2560x1600
monitors all want dual-link DVI. The Cinema display has a 268.5Mhz pixel
clock (which dual link uses 139.25Mhz with the pixels coming out in pairs).
