Yup, back in the day, we got UNIX updates maybe once a year with a patch
here and there every blue moon.  Linux is moving like really fast now and
so is all the software on top.  I see your point, shits moving so fast that
keeping unique under pinnings makes it easier to deal with. Make sense.
