This is one of the reason I support moving the email lists on to web forums. Has this been discussed at all? It makes joining as a newbie much less intimidating, clears up the email clutter, and makes it much easier to track threads. But maybe that has already been discussed?

Web forums are almost always dreadfully slow, with immensely lame
interfaces, and are incapable of being organizad how *I* want.

Wow, you beat me to it. I have _never_ used a web forum that had anything
even resembling a useful interface. I literally process thousands of email
messages a day. There is no way I could do this if I had to click, wait,
read for every single one of these messages.

Not tracking threads is an email client problem. I also haven't found a
web forum that doesn't make thread reading worse. Most are just downright
unpleasant.

Then there's the part about not having a good editor integrated with the
web forum. I can use something like Mozex to edit text areas, but the
context is gone, and it is just isolated text at that point.
