NetZero's advertises (or at least used to) with overlay windows of ads
based on the things the users is browsing in their web browser.

If I were to be using NetZero for what I normally do, which is sit inside
of a terminal window, running ssh to somewhere, it wouldn't gather much
information to target the ads.  It's not that I don't browse the web, I
just spend a large majority of my time "online" not doing so.

The can't target their ads based on the contents of my emails, since I ssh
into the email machine, and run 'mutt'.
