I've found I don't ever watch "live" TV anymore. I find out from various sources what might be good to watch, hit my mythbox over the web to schedule it, and watch it when I think of it.
If I'm surfing "live" tv, it's because I really need to be turning it off and going to bed, or getting up and working on something I'm desperately trying not to. :)
