More info.  What card? What drivers are you using for it? What changed
between reboot? Did you install a new kernel? I've had two kernel
updates for ubuntu 8 in the last week so I'm thinking the -18 kernel
must have had some issues, maybe that's it? try going back to an
earliler kernel that you know was working.

Help can be a bit difficult to find on the ubuntu sites as the info
tends to be a bit old, but I've had some of these issues recently and
will offer any help I can give.
